Giving to Disaster Relief

Every year, natural disasters destroy cities and displace thousands of people from their homes. The world responds to these catastrophes through local and international relief efforts funded by charitable donations.

Though many charities try to motivate us to make our donations as quickly as possible, they do not always disclose how the gifts will be used. Will they use up all their donations in a few weeks or will they provide support for months to come? By researching charities and mapping out their contributions, donors can guarantee disaster relief aid will be used in the way they intended.

What kind of charity?

In the flurry of social support for people affected by a disaster, several well-meaning groups establish charities to aid those in need. But just because a charity has been establish for a specific cause, does not mean it will effectively use the money donated to it.
